Innovative Download Manager Applies P2P to HTTP Transfer
Xunlei is THE most popular download manager in China, not only because it has a user-friendly interface, multi-protocol support, and powerful managing tools, but also because it uses P2P to speed up ordinary HTTP downloads.
After you adds a download task to Xunlei, it searches for other users who are downloading this file and other servers that also store this file. Xunlei will then make attempts to connect to the servers and users. If the connection is established, Xunlei will start to transfer data from these sources.
This new innovative downloading method not only speeds up the speed of downloads, it also resolves some of the dead links by finding alternative sources to download.
Xunlei also supports Bittorrent and Emult download as well.
